Sandy Chubb – zen name: Rinko-an (trs: dignified graceful light) began zen practice with Yamata (Daido) Hogen in 1987, then with Sister Elaine MacInnes and John Gaynor (See Our History) . She was appointed a Zen Teacher in 2013.
Pete Wallis was brought up in a Quaker family. From childhood he recognised the importance of making time to be still, and found joy in sitting with others in silence. In 1994 he met Sister Elaine MacInnes and joined the Oxford Zen Centre, later working with Sister Elaine and Sandy Chubb at the Prison Phoenix Trust for four years. He now works in restorative justice and is Assistant Teacher of The Oxford Zen Centre
John Gaynor – zen name: Eiun-ken (trs Bright Cloud) began zen practice with Sister Elaine MacInnes in 1997. He was appointed Zen Teacher in 2005 with The Oxford Zen Centre and is Zen Teacher of the London Jizo Centre.
Meg Vaughan-Fowler began meditation practice in 1986, joined the Oxford Zen Centre in 1994 as the student of Sister Elaine MacInnes and later, of John Gaynor. She is currently Assistant Teacher of the Jizo Centre in London.
